Eight members of the DPM crew have been sent to gaol for a graffiti campaign they ran between 2004 and 2006. DPM crew leader, Andrew Gilman, received the harshest sentence of two years imprisonment when the trial concluded at Southwark Crown Court this week. Ironically, while awaiting trial, Gilman was employed by the BBC to add some authenticity to the set of popular soap opera, East Enders - proving that what is crime in one context is art in another.

Our graffiti is inspired by a conversation I had with two French men about the impossibility of learning English. "How can you learn a language", one asked, "when all the words sound the same"? Cheap sheep chip ship chop shop heat hit harm arm ...

This site is a work in progress and we will be adding content and features as we go along. We have lots of plans for both and welcome your suggestions also.

"Under construction" was a common feature of the early web that seems to have all but disappeared now. Generally speaking, people now seem to keep a website under wraps while it is under development and only expose it when it is considered complete. I'm not sure that I like this approach because a) I don't know if it is wise to ever "complete" a website and b) because user input while the site is developing can help craft something that is far more useful and compelling.
